Favorite KU Bassoon Studio Memory: My first Wind Ensemble concert at KU is a memory that always makes me smile when I look back on it. I loved getting to perform onstage with my colleagues for the first time, and the whole experience of hearing our sound in the Lied Center was incredible and brought me chills! It was also great seeing a bunch of bassoon studio mates in the audience being there to support and cheer on our section.

Favorite class at KU so far: Music Theory IV was definitely one of my favorite courses! I absolutely loved the energy and excitement that Dr. Murphy brought to every class, and the knowledge he shared significantly expanded my musical perspective and interests.   

Why did you choose to Rock Chalk? As someone who enjoys being a part of a team and working with other people, I chose to come to KU because I was drawn to the supportive and collaborative community environment of its bassoon studio.
